….Rather than a big pageant in Arlington cemetery, or a solemn state funeral procession in the capital rotunda, we should do what the old puritan New England States did and declare a day of prayer and fasting, and get down on our knees and ask forgiveness of Almighty God for sending those young men off to be maimed and die in Europe
