CNN: GM doesn’t get Toyota sales boost

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — General Motors reported a weaker than expected rise in February U.S. sales, a sign that troubles at rival Toyota Motor have yet to produce a boom in sales for other automakers.

GM said Tuesday that overall sales rose only 12% from a year ago. Sales tracker Edmunds.com had forecast twice as big an increase. GM’s sales were also down slightly from January.
