Obama's Executive Order: States' coastal jurisdictions subject to United Nations' Law Of Sea Treaty

Thirty states will be encroached upon by Obama's Executive Order establishing the National Ocean Council for control over America's oceans, coastlines and the Great Lakes. Under this new council, states' coastal jurisdictions will be subject to the United Nations' Law Of Sea Treaty (LOST) in this UN Agenda 21 program. America'a oceans and coastlines will be broken into 9 regions that include the North East, Mid-Atlantic, South Atlantic, the Gulf Coast, West Coast, the Great Lakes, Alaska, the Pacific Islands (including Hawaii) and the Caribbean.

Because of the decades of difficulty that the collectivists have had trying to ratify the Law Of Sea Treaty (LOST), Obama is sneaking it in through the back door, by way of this Executive Order establishing the Council. Because LOST is a treaty, Obama's Executive Order is not Constitutional as treaty ratification requires 2/3 approval from the Senate. Michael Shaw said that the Agenda 21 Convention on Biodiversity treaty of 1992 failed to pass Congress so it was executed through soft law and administratively on local levels, and Obama's Executive Order is a similar soft law tactic to enact the LOST treaty.

Work hard all summer, save up and buy your first car. Generations of teens have followed that formula to gain the freedom that comes from getting behind the wheel. But in this recession-troubled year, the ranks of new teen motorists appears to be shrinking dramatically.

Sarah Marron, 18, braves the packed Department of Motor Vehicles in Colorado Springs, Colo., to get her license. It might be that they're busier, more apprehensive about driving, lack money for insurance and gas or hindered by tougher restrictions on teens, but the number of 16 and 17-year-olds with licenses has gradually declined over the last several years, according to state data.

Five years ago, 7.5 million used cars were sold for use by teenagers. This year, the market has shrunk to 4.2 million, according to CNW Research. It's not just because fewer used cars are being sold overall: In 2005, 17.4% of used cars were destined for teens. Now it's 10.9%.

"Reflecting the jobs market, there has been a serious decline in the number of teens who make a full payment for their vehicle to parents -- down from 21% to 16% while parents are paying the full price in 44% of the cases vs. 43.5%," CNW states. More than 27% of teens haven't worked part or full time in the last 12 months, more than double the teen unemployment figure of 2005.

I�m very concerned about what I consider to be a blindingly obvious fact. There�s actually an argument right now about immigration. This is completely ludicrous. Worse yet, the argument is about how to curtail it and �protect our borders�. If this wasn�t so infinitely offensive it would be hilarious. I won�t go into the racism arguments because I honestly believe those are beside the point. No, I�m outraged by the sheer lunacy of the arguments being made on both sides.

The standard �anti-migrant� argument is that these people who come here and steal �our� jobs, destroy �our� property values, steal �our� tax money and commit horrible crimes against �our� people. The standard �pro-migrant� argument is, first of all, very few migrants do those things and secondly they bring with them valuable resources in the form of labor and cultural diversity. I stand dumbfounded by the idea that either side would even broach those subjects at all! Do people really believe any of that is relevant to the debate? Do you think so?

It's official: U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton is NOT an Anthroconservative. Today, she placed an injunction on the implementation of the most important parts of Arizona's new anti-illegal immigration law. Specifically, until the courts review the law in more detail, Arizona cannot legally require police officers to ask suspected illegal immigrants about their immigration status, nor can it require legal immigrants to carry proof of their status. Neither can illegal immigrants be arrested simply for being illegal. The chief justification for this ruling was the idea that �Requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully-present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is checked.� In other words, some people who are not illegal immigrants could be potentially inconvenienced by the law, and thus it cannot go into effect. Bolton also expressed sympathy for federal authorities, which could be swamped by task of processing the illegal aliens caught up in the Arizona dragnet. After all, we could not possibly ask of the federal government that it enforce its own laws � doing so would be a tiresome chore...

Even after the healthcare bill was passed into law, the public option is not going away. In fact, it is on its way, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. It�s just a matter of when.

In an effort to appease disappointed progressives at the liberal Netroots gathering in Las Vegas, Reid remarked, �Now I know you wish some of these reforms were even more sweeping and believe me I do, too. But we also have to be realists. I wish we had a public option. But we�re going to have a public option. It�s a question of when�.

The process is already underway. The Public Option Act, a bill that would add the public option to the healthcare law, was introduced by 128 Democrats to the United States House of Representatives last week.

This should come as a shock both to Americans who voiced their dissatisfaction with the public option, as well as the Congressmen who willingly eliminated the public option from the healthcare law as a means to acquire the necessary support for the bill�s passage.

The public option would create a government-run health insurance agency that would compete with other health insurance companies. Critics like CATO Institute�s Michael F. Cannon and Senator Charles Grassley seized upon the government�s inefficient running of Medicaid and Medicare as pathetic examples of what government-run healthcare looks like.

The synchronized and unconscionable bombings by the Somali group al-Shabab�of people doing nothing more than watching soccer games in Kampala, Uganda�counterintuitively illustrates why the United States should not be fighting Islamic militancy worldwide. Many of America�s editorial writers are screaming for stepped-up U.S. counterterrorism strikes in Somalia against the group. This option would be the worst possible course of action.

Many leading American newspapers and government officials see the soccer bombings as part of an ominous trend of local terror groups going international. As evidence they also cite al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula�s attempted bombing of a U.S.-bound airliner on Christmas day, the Pakistani Taliban�s assistance of the clumsy attempt to bomb New York�s Times Square, and the recent arrest in Norway and Germany of three members of a separatist group from western China for allegedly orchestrating a terrorist bomb plot. Yet these international attacks by local groups, as with the strikes by the Somali al-Shabab, aren�t coming out of nowhere with radical Islamism as their sole cause, as the editorial writers imply. The groups are unforgivably attempting to attack innocent civilians; yet the U.S. government needs to carefully examine why these local groups might be taking their respective shows on the road. This would require looking in the mirror, which can sometimes be tough.

For example, al-Shabab was a local Islamist group that wasn�t getting much support from Somalia�s mostly moderate Muslims until the United States started supporting corrupt Somali warlords against it. The United States has funneled much economic and military aid into the country, and conducts counterterrorism attacks within its borders. Even now, al-Shabab explicitly said that it targeted Uganda in the soccer bombing because the nation is one of the two countries providing soldiers for the African Union (AU) forces that are combating the group. Also, the United States and its European allies are using Uganda to train Somalis to fight against al-Shabab. The group has threatened future attacks against Uganda and Burundi, the other country providing troops to the AU force, if they did not withdraw from Somalia. Although radical Islam is present, al-Shabab�s main motivation for the international attacks is much the same as the other local Islamist groups�to get rid of foreign interference in their countries.

Political labels constantly change throughout time, depending on the point and perspective of history that you view it from. For example, the fifty-six signers of the Declaration of Independence were seen as enemies of the state, and from Great Britain�s perspective a charge of high treason was placed upon them. Today, they are looked upon as heroes in the eyes of this great nation of men and women, not only for their great courage but also because of their thought and insight to political philosophy.

These political labels are often blurred, and the terms liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Tea Party, and libertarian are used as vague descriptions, insults or for political gain. They mean little and are generalizations that attempt to define us as a person or ideologue. Ousting these labels for myself and others, I have found one thing in common among �We the People�: A common distrust of those in leadership, perpetual propaganda exploited to the people by those in control, and a lack of understanding of our beginnings as a nation and of history as a whole.

Republican Ken Buck, riding the tide of his unforeseen surging Senate campaign in Colorado, is angling to join the club of once-seen-as-long shot GOP candidates who�ve beat out their so-called establishment Republican primary opponents.

�I think it is a classic grassroots versus establishment race,� Buck, running for the U.S. Senate in Colorado, said of his primary fight against Lt. Gov. Jane Norton. �And as much as the other side doesn�t want to accept that characterization, the voters are accepting it.�

In an interview with The Daily Caller, the Weld County district attorney acknowledged the similarities between his contest and those of Rand Paul in Kentucky, Marco Rubio in Florida and Sharron Angle in Nevada. It�s not hard to see.

Like those Tea Party-backed candidates, Buck was written off early in the race against an opponent with establishment support. Many expected him to drop out of the race when Norton jumped in the contest. But Buck stayed in, and in March, he won the GOP caucuses.
