Newt Gingrich on CNN with Wolf Blitzer was asked about the attack ads against him by both Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. This interview is very telling as Blitzer sets the stage for Newt to contradict himself by viciously attacking Ron Paul right after saying ‘No’ to Blitzer’s asking ‘are you going to attack the other candidates?’ Newt pushed some very obscured perceptions of Ron Paul on the Middle East, Newsletters and 9/11.
Liberty Pulse gives praise to Wolf Blitzer for actually asking Gingrich the same questions that he and many other MSM reporters have forced Ron Paul to answer recently.
The First question - pressing Newt on whether or not he would support a Ron Paul nominee which Gingrich vehemently said ‘No’. Then, Blizter pressed him if he would support Obama (which based on many positions Obama and Gingrich are inline wars, government intervention domestically) Gingrich then attacked Obama.
The Second question – Third Party? Yes, Wolf Blitzer actually asks establishment Neoconservative Gingrich if he would run as a 3rd Party Candidate if Ron Paul wins the nomination. Gingrich arrogantly said ‘Ron Paul won’t win’
The most telling part of this interview is how Newt Gingrich is a gentleman to Mitt Romney a fellow big government neoconservative hopeful and then his venomous angry and disdain for the true defender of Liberty and the champion of the US Constitution Ron Paul.
Newt Gingrich, who suddenly finds himself near the front of the ever-shifting GOP pack, is also finding that his finances are yet again in the cross-hairs.
Multiple outlets are reporting that financial woes within the campaign means they’re skipping contests in key states and foregoing traditional campaign stops, even as Gingrich is taking early repayments of personal loans to the campaign. Meanwhile, long-time creditors fret about when they’ll get paid. …..
Newt Gingrich is fond of reminding listeners that he was a history professor. As with most things the former Speaker of the House says, there’s a bit of truth and a lot of exaggeration in that line of his résumé.
In 1970, Gingrich joined the history department at West Georgia College as an assistant professor. In 1974, he moved to the geography department where he helped found an interdisciplinary environmental studies program. After eight years at West Georgia, the 35-year-old Gingrich was denied tenure and he abandoned his planned professorial profession.
Every legacy media and central planner’s worst nightmare is slowly coming true: as the broader field of GOP candidates is rapidly dropping like US secret drones blowing up nuclear power plants in Iran, due to general idiocy, incompetence, too much baggage-ness or general reverse American Idol syndrome where Americans get tired with any given “leader” only to vote them out of the primary the following week, the one clear winner is becoming Ron Paul, who according to Public Policy Polling has seen his support soar in the past week and is now neck and neck with presidential candidate du week, Newt Gingrich. From the PPP: “There has been some major movement in the Republican Presidential race in Iowa over the last week, with what was a 9 point lead for Newt Gingrich now all the way down to a single point. Gingrich is at 22% to 21% for Paul with Mitt Romney at 16%, Michele Bachmann at 11%, Rick Perry at 9%, Rick Santorum at 8%, Jon Huntsman at 5%, and Gary Johnson at 1%.” ……….
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Congressman Ron Paul sparred over the issue of Gingrich’s $1.6 million in consulting feesfor mortgage giant Freddie Mac between 1999 and 2007 in an ABC News Iowa debate December 10.
Asked why his campaign released an advertisement accusing Gingrich of “serial hypocrisy,” Rep. Paul stressed that Gingrich “received a lot of money from Freddie Mac. Now, Freddie Mac is essentially a government organization. While he was earning a lot of money from Freddie Mac, I was fighting over a decade to try to explain to people where the housing bubble was coming from. So Freddie Mac gets bailed out by the taxpayer, so in a way Newt, I think you probably got some of our taxpayer’s money.” He added, “I think this is something that people out to know about.”…………………………………..
