Out to Get Ron Paul – CBS Blowback, FCC Complaints and Jan Crawford’s Facebook Shutdown

by Kurt Wallace

Recently media types who blatantly attack Ron Paul have received spontaneous reactions from his supporters in what is being termed as Blowback Slammed. Bill O’Reilly knows this well, during his show he discussed the attacks  on his new book Killing Lincoln where he received over 900 one star Amazon reviews after excluding Ron Paul from his Presidential forum debate poll. Paul supporters shut down Bill O’Reilly’s Facebook page and the same has just happened to Jan Crawford of CBS. You can now go to her Facebook page but posting privileges for the  ‘everyone’ can post portion is no longer available after hundreds of posts were made condemning her for lack of integrity in reporting.

Saturday January 7th 2012, we exposed a story about CBS reporter Jan Crawford completely dismissing Ron Paul from her New Hampshire 2012 Campaign News Report and the reaction after. This Paul supporter blowback story went viral and many sites picked up the article including two financial news sites IBT and TheDailyCrux. An interesting layer to this ongoing story  is the financial websites helping to expose CBS media bias against a free market Austrian economist, champion of limited government and Presidential candidate serious about cutting government spending back to 2006 levels.

Paul supporters are also fighting back by filing FCC complaints against Jan Crawford and CBS.

Matthew Reynolds writes:

Jan doesn’t respond to criticism and neither does the president of CBS… Perhaps the sponsors should hear of our dissatisfaction with CBS News… I don’t want to buy products that support media bias.

Hello Mrs. Tellem (nancy.tellem@tvc.cbs.com),
I wrote you a few days ago regarding a report Jan Crawford aired which failed to mention the 2nd place polling candidate- Ron Paul. I also placed a call to Mrs. Crawford, which went to voicemail. I understand she is out of the office on assignment and I will give the benefit of the doubt that she is unable to check messages while away. However, the lack of response by you and/or anyone at CBS is infuriating and will not be tolerated. I am now filing complaints with the FCC and will follow up with complaints to CBS sponsors. Mrs Tellem, you may not have any respect for the citizens of this country, your sponsors or journalism in general, but the viewers deserve more credit than you have given them. This will not go away. Thanks for your time, Matt R

Liberty Pulse has tried to contact Jan Crawford for comment and her voice mail box is full. We did reach Al Freeman at CBS in Washington DC, he stated that CBS would not be willing to comment on the FCC complaints filed against them in this matter and that Jan Crawford was on the road covering the Republican Primaries and would not be available for comment.

An excellent article ‘The People vs. CBS’ – Are Corporations People?‘ discusses the FCC complaints in great detail asking the question:

Does a corporation have the same rights as a Person in the United States; protected by the Constitution?

and pointing out:

Today, the information on Crawford’s wikipedia entry ends like this:  “This unscrupulous action immediately prompted allegations of bias and intentional misrepresentation; many commentators suggested that Crawford’s puzzling decision to exclude Paul from the poll results was unethical and violated journalistic standards. Crawford has refused to respond to these allegations, and neither Crawford nor CBS has apologized for her misfeasance.[4]“

The real story here is that Paul supporters are proving that the power of the internet can and is exposing the absurd nature of media bias. I did a radio interview in November of 2007 with Judge Napolitano about his book A Nation of Sheep where he explains we have two types of people Wolves and Sheep, he elaborated to my audience that we need more ‘Wolves’ as watchdogs in the media, a new fourth branch of government. Could it be these ‘Wolves’ have been rediscovered in the new media? Is the Ron Paul Revolution showing the world that spontaneous free market style exposure through truth or consequences via the internet demonstrates that they could be the de facto new Wolves or watchdogs for Liberty that Napolitano describes?

Time will tell whether Paul supporters can really be a force but as his numbers continue to rise and the relentless bias continues by the old media this could be the beginning of a new era of reverse media gotcha moments brought to you by the world wide web.

This is more than just bias.  Do a little googling and you will find Romney’s Bain Capital ownership of Clear Channel Radio, as well as buyouts and big stock blocks with Clear Channel linked in to Premier Radio and a Salem Broadcasting, effectively controlling the dialogue on Radio. Those would be the Hannity’s, Limbaugh’s, and Levin’s of the radio world, who’s rating are plummeting.  As you know Goldman Sachs and their buddies also own big chunks of stock – and they own big chunks of Gannett Publishing ( as in the DesMoines Register that endorsed Romney in Iowa).    I don’t know how deeply into major networks these Romney companies and funders/owners are, but it appears that  Romney and/or those connected to him are directly responsible for the media black out of Ron Paul.    Then of course, you have the military industrial complex  controls at the major networks, with plants and spouses who are reporters.
This is much like cold war Russia.  And the corrupt regime in Washington DC is at war with us, using our media as a weapon.
FIGHT BACK !       VOTE For RON PAUL 2012

Sounds like liberty and justice is at work here…not from the government, but from good people rising up to overcome state-sponsored oppression.

here’s a more up to date clip of CBS ignoring Paul:

Ron paul is not only fighting the Corporate Media, he is fighting The Federal Reserve, The Military Industrial Complex, The Prison Industrial Complex, The Police State Industrial Complex, Federal Employees, The Democrats, The Republican Party Establishment and a sea full of ignorant folks. We must support Dr.Paul in this fight every way we can and we need to keep waking people up to the truth.

Its clear to me that Fox News has a Marketing Plan to appeal to those in the Middle Right of the political spectrum.  And it is clear to me that CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, all have a Marketing Plan to appeal to those in the Middle Left of the political spectrum.     Here comes constitutionalist libertarian Ron Paul and media empires do NOT know what to do with him.   First they ignored him and then they routinely disparaged him.  Yet he continues any hero would.  Ron Paul’s message of pro civiliberties and small government is a PROBLEM for all the media empires to deal with. If they did sweet stories about a country doctor, about a young man growing up in the depression, about a man who became a pilot, about a air-force doctor, about a doctor who has delivered 2000 babies, about a self taught economist in his own right, about a life long married man, about a congressman who has offered hundreds of bills that never pass (maybe we should go back and pass them!)  and about a man running for the Presidency who is simply uncorruptable …. millions of people would swoon to him.   But the Main Stream Media is also a big government creation.  It is also in the sites of Doctor Paul.   The FCC is one agency he would also get rid of.  Airwaves “licenses” and the “news” reporter’s financial DEPENDANCY upon government PAYMENTs to thousands of key media industry reporters, would vanish. The decentralized internet is  making all this apparent to all those with a wise eye.  And these people are talking about it.   Soon, critical knowledge mass will be reached.    The internet, the greatest bastion of Free Speech out there today, is a THREAT to MSM and BIG GOVT.   Hence, after 20 years of internet, the government is proposing laws to “help it”.  The LEFT and the RIGHT got together to demagogue and smear Ron Paul as a “racist”.  When they did that, they signed their death certificate.   The R3volution lives.

Both CNN and CBS are really close to breaking FEC and FCC federal election laws if not having done so already … to be continued!

Sponsors, Sponsors,   Complain to the network sponsors..     Watch the movie   “Network”   Its all about the money .   If they lose sponsors, they lose their funding base..

Suffolk University is who should sue CBS..for maliciously altering their poll in National media. CBS also are the ones who gave Ron 89 seconds in their 2 hour debate. So far, the FCC tells me they do not handle this type of thing, but I am getting their rules because I do not believe it.

  • George Washington

LOL. People like Crawford make their own beds, so to speak.  I am not concerned about the mal-attention of a loud mouth malcontent.

    Ron Paul 2012 Please
