Michael Eric Dyson, race baiting bloviator, is at it again. According to Mr. Dyson, we as a country are divided as to race, and only when the number of white kids who die approximates the number of black kids who die will we understand racism. Actually, the country is divided over whether or not a white man who killed a black teenager after being attacked should be convicted regardless of whether or not the evidence indicates his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. That’s not a racial divide, unless of course you count the motivation of those who think George Zimmerman was guilty.
Full disclosure: In the initial days after the story unfolded, I point-blank said that what George Zimmerman did was not covered by Stand Your Ground laws. To this day, I don’t agree with Zimmerman following Trayvon Martin, nor do I think he is entirely innocent of wrongdoing. However, my thoughts or gut instincts do not suffice as evidence to condemn a man to prison. But hey, I’m just a creepy ass cracker.
